Defragmentation is a necessity nowadays, especially for those who use a computer very often and find it becoming slower by the day.

There are many tools that allow one to solve that but most are useless (like the windows one) or expensive, so I recommend using smart defrag a tool that allows you to schedule and perform defragmentation operations on your hard disks, improving the performance of the drives and speeding up your computer.

The application has four main sections: State, Automatic Defrag, Boot Time Defrag and Report, the first allows you to see the details of the current scan, the second will automatically reorganize your files when your system is in rest, the third defragments files that are to dangerous to move while Windows is active and the last is self-explanatory.

The program has a variety of defrag strategies, for example: allowing you to defrag files alone or use a deep optimization mode to reorganize your hard drive files, all quickly and efficiently.

It of course comes with a few problems like all other programs like, the interface can become slower, it is known to crash at times and it is set to Start up alongside Windows meaning that it might make booting up slower than usual.

That aside, smart defrag is an excellent tool that provides fast and efficient defragmentations and it's simple interface and low memory usage compensate for whatever problems it might have on the short term for the benefits can be seen on the long term.
