Nowadays webcomics are becoming more popular with each passing day and some are as popular as regular comics due to their art, story or characters.

One of the most popular ones is without a doubt dungeon hordes, a webcomic made as a parody of rpg games like dungeons and dragons and dungeon siege, to name a few as well as other cultural phenomena like tv series, famous singers and actors or other parts of modern day culture in a medieval environment.

The comic follows the exploits of dark knight Tiggz who is the rash and idiotic one and frequently ends on the reciveing end of a weapon or spell and bandit Tomes the more wise one who spends most of his time trying to dissuade his friend from his very bad plans and ideas as they try to survive in a world where they are chased by all kinds of monsters, beaten by the heroes or attacked by zombies and hitman rabbits.

Though this comic focus on these two, it also follows other members of the regular cast as well as people that don't have anything to do with them and exist solely for the sake of making fun of various games and movies, like Doc Baker who frequently has to heal Tiggz after one of his crazy schemes backfires or the hero team who rarely acts the part.

One of the reasons for it's success is the fact that the webcomic is updated daily as well as the small funny comments the author adds in his page relative to where he got the idea for today's strip which adds to the hilarity of the strip.

All said and done, this strip is without doubt one of the best free webcomics available and if you're looking for your daily dose of laughs then read it and you won't be disapointed.

The Hat

Many people probably remember to, at some point of their life, resorted to methods like picking a name of a hat or chossing a paper from someone's hand in order to decide the order of something in their lifes like, who will go first or who gets who in multiple events.

The Hat is the electronic equivalent of that, using software to decide who goes first and who goes last in a series of names, where the only thing you need to do is write the names of the participants and decide whether to draw individual names or pairs of names for raffles, sweepstakes, and ongoing contests.

The interface is simple to use as it comes with a icon based toolbar with buttons to add, edit and remove, as well as the traditional Help and Options ones and a large button with shuffle on it on the bottom, though you need to remember that it will only accept .txt files, so no PDF's or anything like that.

The biggest disapointment came in the shape of it's visual and sound effects that bother the eyes and annoy the ears, with many users chossing to turn these off before using the program, furthermore when importing names from local documents, the program automatically removes the old names from the list and adds the ones from the imported file.

So, while visually it's a great failure, it's basic function is the best in all similar software using code to simply the process that's normally done manually and annoyingly, so whether your a teacher checking student's presentations or a coach deciding the order of practices or just a parent organizing groups of tasks, this software is perfect for you, so use it and enjoy it.

The corridor

When most people think horror games, they think fighting zomibes or demons or even hiding in every corner of a house to evade something inhuman that can tear them apart once they caught them.

The corridor, on the hand, makes use of psychological tricks to induce a sense of anxiety and fear with only a long corridor that makes use of the irrational fear of long hallways and deafening silence usually at night in hotels.

While the game starts just like a normal "going to get some ice situation", it quickly escalates into a living nightmare with weirder things happening by the minute and where the only hope of escaping is to go deeper into the darkness in search of a way out.

It is advised that you play this game at night for a more real experience (and quite possible a very bad case of insomnia), though I must warn that this game isn't for the faint of heart and that the fear factor might traumatize you, but then this is how you know it's a good horror game.

The developers website might be in russian, but the game is narrated in english, though if you don't understand the first thing of russian, it's advised you download it from someother website as there's plenty of places hosting the game.

All said and done, The corridor is the kind of game that makes you fear going to the bathroom at night (especially if you're in a hotel), so if your looking for one of the best horror indie games available, then don't waste any time and try this one and hope you enjoy it.

Esklavos

Those who play adventure games know that sometimes, indie games are better than those made by big game developer companies since they pay more attention to details like story, characters and so on.

Esklavos is the first masterpiece of Federico Rutenberg who went to create other popular games like: the ballad of Ketinetto, Caila Raven and many others.

The story of the game revolves around 2 aliens that after crash landing on a primitive planet, are taken into slavery by invaders who have taken over most of the planet with their advanced technology, though a few resistance movements still exist thanks to the natives magical abilities that allow them to fight against their captors.

While the first chapters revolve around the 2 aliens attempts to escape and return to space, soon the story becomes more complicated as other characters are introduced and the aliens find themselves involved in a plot to overthrow the invaders and restore control of the planet to it's rightful owners.

If you choose to play the game, then be warned that the game creator's main language is Spanish and you'll need to choose between it and English both in the website and the games, so be careful when you start playing otherwise you risk playing the game in Spanish and that might be a problem to those who don't understand it.

In conclusion, if you're looking for a good free game that has a good story and a long duration (17 chapters), then Esklavos is just what you need and while you're at it, try playing the other games in the website as each one is an excellent combination of humour and action, so go give them a try and take your own conclusions.

However, I've found a website that has been constantly updated for the last 8 years and it is very easy to use when it comes to searching for older games.

Romsup is a Brazilian website that despite being in Portuguese is not hard to navigate, even without using a translator.

Each section is dedicated to one type of console, from SNES to the latest 3DS and it even allows you to download the best emulator for each console, not to mention that it divides the various games by genre meaning that you won't need to search every inch of the website for what you want.

One of the things that annoys me the most is turning my computer on in the morning only to be blinded by the bright lights form the monitor or when I use it at night and the light make my eyes cry when it begins to grow dark.

No one can deny that nowadays, there are a lot of people who record their own voice into their computer, be it for Karaoke or to send a voice message to someone or even comment on your videos ( a raising tendency among video game walkthroughs).

However, sometimes it's difficult to figure out how do those programs work as there are many buttons and options to chose from.

Pokemon 3D

Outer Wilds

When one thinks of space exploration games, one normally thinks of shooting aliens and ships or surviving in extreme conditions basically, they think something like Dead space, Wing commander and Borderlands.

Outer wilds couldn't be any different as the game's main focus is to travel around space while exploring planets without having to collect, solve, defeat or fix anything meaning that you can fully immerse yourself in the game without having to worry about fulfilling any goals.

Once you start, you'll find yourself in a village where you'll be taught how to pilot your ship and how to use your zero-g suit which includes a probe to take pictures and has a jet pack albeit with limited use.

In each playthrough you have about 20 minutes to explore as much as possible before the sun explodes and resets everything however, don't worry about losing data as your ship's computer remembers all you've explored before and the tutorial is one time only so you don't have to repeat everything.

Be careful however that the game is still in beta stages and the controls may have a few problems but outside that, it's a great game for those who just like to explore and there's plenty to find from giant fishes to space stations so if you enjoy calm, easygoing games than this is game is what you need to spend some enjoyable times.

Recently I came across a rather scary collection of games translated by vgperson, a website that specializes in translating games or making them using the RPG maker application.

The reason why I recommend playing this games is because despite the fact that they aren't very long or it top-notch graphics is because they are far more scary than most games you see out there, even those from big game companies.

The thing all these games have in common is that you can't fight back against the things that come after you, instead you must use your reflexes to run away as fast as you can and not only that, you must also be careful of what you examine as opening the wrong door or examining the wrong painting can get you killed, forcing you to restart the game, (though the games aren't very long so you should have a problem finishing it even if you get killed constantly).

Another thing you need to be aware of is the fact that the games are kinda violent and gory so make sure not to let small children play with them as even adult players find the games traumatizing (according to comments in other websites).

So if you enjoy horror games then this website is what you need for I doubt you'll find better games anywhere else.

When it comes to PDF's the first thing that comes to your head is Adobe Reader however, as you know this program consumes a lot of your computer resources and memory so I decided to look for a more lightweight and speedy PDF reader.

It was then that I discovered Foxit reader, a PDF reader capable of opening files much faster than Adobe and much less demanding of computer resources especially RAM and furthermore, unlike other viewers, Foxit constantly updates to keep with the latest types of files in both the computer and business worlds.

The latest version includes a lot of things taken from the now extinct Pro pack including the ability to insert text comments of your own as well as the ability to highlight them and a spell-checker that will highlight any error it comes across.

One of it's best features is the Text viewer which displays the document's text in a plain Notepad like view and even allows you to save it like that.

Gom Player

Now a days downloading videos of all kinds is a normal everyday thing, however not all video players are up to the task especially those that came with the computer.

As such, i would like to present Gom Media Player as the best alternative that i know of, this video player is very easy to use so beginners won't have a problem but it also come with advanced settings for those power users who like to tweak the videos.

In terms of media formats it runs pretty much almost all formats out there and if it doesn't, it is constantly updated to keep up to new formats.

The only disavantages that i can point out is the narrow timeline that might present a problem to laptop users, some of the language was obscure at best and the fact that if your not careful you risk installing an avg toolbar though as long as you uncheck the square during the installing you should be fine.

All things said it's a nice video player whose advantages surpass the weakness so give it a shot and you'll realize what a  handy tool this is.

That's the description the official website gives of the game and i couldn't agree more, Patchwork is proof that free indie games can be as fantastic as those produced by EA or Capcom.

The backgrounds and graphics are artworks that fit the story well and the story itself is well developed even though the game itself was kinda short.

The gameplay was easy enough for beginners to play but no so easy that you finish the game in 15 minutes or so and the ability to play as 2 different characters allows you to see the story from 2 points of view as well as force you to adapt yourself to solve the puzzles that each character can solve only by themselves.

In short, it's a great game even if a bit short but nonetheless  it's still good for a hour or so of fun, so don't waste anytime and download it if your a fan of point-and-click adventure games or just someone who apreciates good artwork.

Like the title says, this excellent website allows you to create temporary e-mails that are very useful for all kinds of things from joining a forum without having to receive spam or newsletters to entering websites that you would like to remain anonymous from your family or friends.

In all said, it’s a great service and if 10 minutes aren’t enough you can extend by another 10 minutes for as long as you want.

So try this and never again will you have to worry about all those anoying things that appear in your regular e-mail.
