In that case I recommend Recuva, a file recovery program that allows to recover all those deleted files that you thought to have been lost forever with a wizard-like approach and intuitive user interface will appeal to all user levels.
You just have to select the drive you want to search, chose the file path where you think the file belongs to and then you just need to choose the type of scan you think is appropriate to the situation like quick scan for files recently deleted and deep scan for those files that went MIA much longer ago.
Once it finishes scanning it will show you a list of all the files that it managed to recover as well as their respective paths, some with their original names and others unfortunately with unidentifiable names, furthermore each file has a coloured circle in front of them which shows if the file can be restored successfully
or not; red means the file was overwritten and you can forget it, yellow
means the file is in bad condition but you can still take your chances
restoring it, green means that you can get back your file with no
problem.
Take into consideration however that the longest you take to recover the files the lesser your odds of being capable of retrieving it like with everything else and the program doesn't include a help function so you'll have to consult the website for any problems.
All in all, it's a great fast and free to use program and a lifesaver for those who deleted important files so if you need to do some file recovery try this program and you'll be amazed by the results and it's simplicity.

Freetubetv
Watching tv has become a part of our day to day lives but, not always can we watch tv channels we want to because of things like travels or the tv breaking down.
As such, sometimes I resource to freetubetv, a website that broadcasts over 500 channels from around the world allowing me to keep up with news and shows I like or just passing sometime watching tv channels from other countries.
This service is entirely free and does not require any software download meaning you can use it even in someone else computer or a internet cafe and it's constantly updated with new channels.
Be advised however that not all channels work due to various reasons and if your kids want to use it and they're still very young be advised that there's an adult section so beforehand active the family friendly version of the website.
Freetubetv might be just one more online tv website but it's one of the most expansive ones and unlike many other ones, it warns you if a tv channel is working or not meaning you wont have to spend 10 minutes waiting to see if it's working.

People always think that stuff like robbery and so only happens to others but, that's only until it happens to them.
Since there's no guaranty that your laptop or smartphone won't be stolen someday, I recommend installing Prey anti-theft, a monitoring software that will allow to locate your stolen device entirely for free, with the help of various tools.
After installing it, it will remain undetected in the background of your device until activated by an online account which can be used to not only track it but also hide your e-mail data and delete your stored passwords so that the thief can't use them.
After your stolen device connects to the internet, you receive a list of running applications, detailed Wi-Fi and network information, it's current location with near 100% accuracy, a screenshot of the desktop and if your laptop has an integrated webcam – then a picture of the person using the computer, you can even send them a message to return your device.
The only problems is that it can't be easily uninstalled meaning that you'll need to take to a computer repair shop if you wish to erase it from your device and it changes your homepage and search provider without your approval and some benefits can only be accessed with a paid Pro account.
Other than that Prey is a good application to have on your mobile computers and phones. It enhances your chances of protecting your data and retrieving back your stolen laptop/phones. Most importantly, it is free and open source.

Horror games
Recently I came across a rather scary collection of games translated by vgperson, a website that specializes in translating games or making them using the RPG maker application.
The reason why I recommend playing this games is because despite the fact that they aren't very long or it top-notch graphics is because they are far more scary than most games you see out there, even those from big game companies.
The thing all these games have in common is that you can't fight back against the things that come after you, instead you must use your reflexes to run away as fast as you can and not only that, you must also be careful of what you examine as opening the wrong door or examining the wrong painting can get you killed, forcing you to restart the game, (though the games aren't very long so you should have a problem finishing it even if you get killed constantly).
Another thing you need to be aware of is the fact that the games are kinda violent and gory so make sure not to let small children play with them as even adult players find the games traumatizing (according to comments in other websites).
So if you enjoy horror games then this website is what you need for I doubt you'll find better games anywhere else.

Nowadays due to austerity and the economic crisis, many people have turned towards the internet as a way to acquire the things they used to buy like movies, games and many other things they use to entertain themselves.
However those of you who use emulators to play games have without a doubt, found problems when playing more modern games like NDS, PSP and others, ranging from sound problems to being unable to play the game at all.
For those people I would like to recommend WinDS Pro, a package that brings together the most popular emulators for GBA and NDS in a single program allowing one to play just about any game without having to download each emulator separately.
WinDS Pro includes emulators like No$GBA, DeSmuME, iDeaS, VisualBoyAdvance and VBALink for you to try with which it may work better with the game you want to play since each emulator doesn't allow one to play all the available games.
Furthermore you can choose how to personalize it using different skins taken from various games and No$GBA has several modes that allow you to play with larger windows and with it's Apps program you can attach emulators from other consoles to your WinDS Pro.
All said this is an excellent tool for gamers and I recommend it to all of you who like to play games in your computer and hope you contribute to the forum.

There are many tools that allow one to solve that but most are useless (like the windows one) or expensive, so I recommend using smart defrag a tool that allows you to schedule and perform defragmentation operations on your hard disks, improving the performance of the drives and speeding up your computer.
The application has four main sections: State, Automatic Defrag, Boot Time Defrag and Report, the first allows you to see the details of the current scan, the second will automatically reorganize your files when your system is in rest, the third defragments files that are to dangerous to move while Windows is active and the last is self-explanatory.
The program has a variety of defrag strategies, for example: allowing you to defrag files alone or use a deep optimization mode to reorganize your hard drive files, all quickly and efficiently.
It of course comes with a few problems like all other programs like, the interface can become slower, it is known to crash at times and it is set to Start up alongside Windows meaning that it might make booting up slower than usual.
That aside, smart defrag is an excellent tool that provides fast and efficient defragmentations and it's simple interface and low memory usage compensate for whatever problems it might have on the short term for the benefits can be seen on the long term.

When you think file compressing tools, you think Winrar or 7-zip but in case you're still looking for a compression
